Student Loans: The Fine Print

We always like to try to remind students to be proactive in their student loan process. Student loans do not have to be such a daunting or scary task, as long as you take the time to cover the basics! You can read much more about private student loans and federal student loans on StudentLoansForCollege.org, but below is a very basic (and overlooked) student loan tip.

Read the fine print of your student loans!

Once you have all the information on your student loans, read over everything very carefully. It is extremely important to know what you are getting yourself into.

Many Federal student loans and bank loans tend to be very up front about their terms, but some private lenders may require a co-signer for your student loan and that language could be buried in the fine print (along with other important information).

It is very important to read over everything so you are aware of the requirements for the student loan you may be getting.
