Since studies show that bullying stops within ten seconds over fifty percent of the time when a bystander intervenes, dosomething.org would like to reward those who “step up” to bullying by offering the Step Up To Bullying Scholarships. Every qualified individual who takes action in the Step Up To Bullying campaign, and reports back explaining what they’re doing to Step Up to Bullying, will be eligible for one of the $500 Step Up To Bullying Scholarships.
All Step Up To Bullying Scholarship applicants must be 25 years of age or younger, and a U.S. or Canadian citizen. Step Up To Bullying Scholarship winners may use the scholarship money towards any two-year or four-year accredited institution of higher education for an undergraduate or graduate degree. Step Up To Bullying Scholarships winners will be chosen based on the quality of their participation.
