The SGNA RN General Education Scholarship is a great scholarship opportunity for any current college student studying to become a Registered Nurse at an accredited college or university in the United States. The SGNA, the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, has presented more than 40 college scholarship awards to help with professional development in the field of nursing and to help promote nursing education. The SGNA RN General Education Scholarship is a $2500 college scholarship, awarded once per academic year.
Scholarship applicants must currently be enrolled in an accredited nursing school program, as a full-time student to be eligible for the SGNA RN General Education Scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale to apply. The SGNA RN General Education Scholarship is an essay-based scholarship opportunity, where applicants are required to submit a (maximum of two pages) double-spaced essay on the selected essay topic for the current scholarship year. In addition to the essay, applicants will be required to fully complete the scholarship application, include their transcripts for completed coursework to date, and submit one or two letters of recommendation from faculty.
