The Ronald Mcdonald House Charities (RMHC) offers four different scholarships each year to help students pay for college. Scholarships are for students in the United States living in areas where there are participating local Ronald Mcdonald House Charity Chapters. The Ronald Mcdonald Scholarship Program seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. RMHC’s goal is simple: to identify and invest in future leaders. Currently enrolled high school seniors who are eligible to attend an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school with a complete course of study may apply for one Ronald Mcdonald Scholarship. Applicants must be legal U.S. residents, be less than 21 years of age, have a minimum 2.7 GPA and reside within the geographic boundaries of a participating RMHC Chapter that offers the scholarships.
For the RMHC Scholars Program all students may apply regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. Most Ronald Mcdonald Scholarship awards are $1,000 which can be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses, as determined by RMHC.
