The Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest is a scholarship essay contest is designed for students who are full time, undergraduate college students, enrolled in an American college or university. Students do not have to be an American citizen to apply for the Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest, but they must be enrolled in and attending an American college or university during the scholarship eligibility period. Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest entries must contain a minimum of 1,500 and a maximum of 5,000 words.
The three Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest winners will be announced at the Lincoln Forum annual meeting in Gettysburg. The scholarship prize money is designed as a reward for academic excellence and can be used for any purpose the winner desires. First place prize is $1500, second place prize is $750, and third place prize is $500.
