The Lafango Beyond Oil Essay Scholarship challenges students to answer the question, “What is a viable alternative to fossil fuels?” The Lafango Beyond Oil Essay Scholarship is open to males, females, and groups of all ages from anywhere in the world. Winners will be selected by the Lafango community. All contestants must submit an essay containing between 800 and 1500 words. All entries must be written by one author, essays with co-authors will not be accepted. All outside sources must be cited, and essays that are plagiarized will be disqualified from this and all future competitions. All entries must be written in English. Scholarship prize money will be paid directly to the bursar account of the university selected by the winning students.
The scholarship prizes are as follows: One 1st place winner will receive a $1,000 Scholarship. One 2nd place winner will receive a $500 Scholarship.
