Good student loan news for International students coming to America in hopes of pursuing an MBA degree. International students from around the world may soon be seeing more financial aid and student loan options.

Because of the current economic state, many student loan lenders and banks had been decreasing international students financial aid and student loan options, making securing funds for college a real struggle for many international students out there. Given this problem for international students, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) announced they will be creating a student loan program to better help international students in securing financial aid for their education.

This student loan lending program known as the Affiliated Loan Program for Students (ALPS), has been able to issue 3,500 student loans totaling more than $100 million in funding for college.

It is well known to both national and international students alike, that MBA programs can be expensive. However, if you have the desire, rest assured that (aside from free money options for college, such as scholarships and grants) there are still many student loans available for individuals who need financial assistance.

Additionally, certain college students may qualify for tax breaks if they’re pursuing the MBA degree while holding a full-time job, possibly exempting the tuition from taxable salary.
