The Robert Byrd Honors Scholarship is awarded to high school graduates who have been accepted to an institution of higher education, and who have displayed exceptional academic achievement, and show promise of continued academic excellence. Students interested in applying for the Robert Byrd Honors Scholarship Program can apply directly to their State’s Education Agency. Applicants must be a legal resident of the state for which they are applying. Each state may have a different scholarship application deadline for the Robert Byrd Honors Scholarship, so students must verify the deadline with their State’s Education Agency.
Scholarship applicants can request the Robert Byrd Honors Scholarship application package from their State Education Agency, and are required to follow their instructions for scholarship application procedures. Robert Byrd Honors Scholarships are awarded to students who apply in their state for a period of one to four years during the first four years of study at any institution of higher education eligible to participate in the program.
