Best Buy and ENERGY STAR are challenging students to organize and run an E-Waste Drive campaign in their local communities. The E-Waste Drive will help to collect unwanted e-waste (electronics such as ipods, cell phones, etc…), and then deliver the e-waste to a local Best Buy store. The E-Waste Drive team that does the best, will be eligible to win $10000 in E-Waste Drive Scholarships.
E-Waste Drive Scholarships entries will be judged based on the following criteria and percentages: 40% on the quantity of e-waste collected at the drive, 25% on the impact the drive had on your community, 25% on your E-Waste Drive planning and promotion, and 10% on the clarity and organization of your E-Waste Drive Scholarships entry. In addition to the winning team receiving a $10000 E-Waste Drive Scholarship, the top ten E-Waste Drive teams will each win $100 worth of Best Buy gift cards.
